71671, Check valve to keep boost out of my brake booster.

I know it's called a brake "booster"... but I know it doesn't appreciate my 20g shoving air in it's vac line! Really though... I re-routed my booster vac line a while back and I need to find a good check valve (like the stock one) to put in the line. Anyone know where to get one?

Well I've never had an issue with the stock check valve, so maybe be the easiest way out..Napa, or the dealership I would think..I'm sure there are better check valves out there, but if it works, it works :)

Hmmm... good point. Sometimes I think I get too caught up in custom fabricating shit for my car. If it works then it works... I'll just get it at the dealer. Thanks Matt! :thumbsup

you could also just re-route the vac line to the intake tube before the turbo couldn't you?

No, you need manifold vacuum for the brake booster, er vac after the throttle plate, not before it..

hmm I don't think it really cares if it sees boost, I left foot brake and that makes you boost while your braking and it seems to brake find for me. But its worth a shot to see what it does hehe... then again you might be boosting way more than me

the gst and gsx uses the same check valve in the vac hose as the RS and GS. boost won't affect the brake booster on any model at all unless you remove the check vALVE from the line.
