the feed line into the top of my turbo is leaking just a smaaaal amount, and im wondering if that would cause a little bit of burning oil?

ive checked my plugs, datalogged everything, i have a hard time believing my new block is burning oil. plugs are fine, coolant temps are fine, everything is good, minus the hint of blue smoke :\ when i rebuilt the head i used new stem seals and everything.

any clues?

im not sure i understand how you think oil leaking to the outide of your turbo will cause oil to be burnt in the exhasut?

if you have no other issues with the motor, then you may have seal issues (like me)

how many miles on the new motor? it can take up to 1000+ miles to get your rings totaly seated, so...

haha yea. thinking about it i have no idea how i could come to that conclusion either. i was just hoping :\

its probably a valve stem seal. i installed them new on my head (o miles), took them out and put them in another head before i used them on the old head. yea confusing.

anyway, im just hoping its some sort of a seal and not a major problem :o

It'll NEVER take 1000 miles for the rings to seat. You can be boosting as much as you want by then. Beat the shit out of it after 400 miles or so. :thumbsup

So why's everyone say wait 1000+ish miles to really get on it after a rebuild?

what kinda rings did you rebuild with? the only way I could see the oil line coming into affect is if you had a bad gasket the oil was getting through. like the exhaust side of turbo. also, how old is the turbo?

je pistons and je rings. maybe 7k on the turbo. maybe. the plugs look fine though.

no signs of burning oil on the plugs at all?? hmm wierd..usually its a crusty black crud on em..although if its not burning that much, the plugs may not show it as easily..How about you PCV valve? Replaced/checked that lately? I know that one time I was driving behind you, I would see that puff of smoke when you let off the gas..usually means engine vac is pulling in oil..
