Okay quick question. I read the write up on how to put in that gauge and I wasn't sure if the unit that I saw was the right one so I took a picture. Is the one on the left the one I should undo or is it further up on the block? Thanks in advance you guys.

BTW sorry about the HUGE picture.

The one on the left is the one you want. That's the OEM pressure sending unit. Just tee it off there and you're good.

Yeah i just took a closer look and noticed that it already has a tee into it to go to the turbo.

Okay so that freakin OEM sending unit is stripped. I tried the 1 1/6in and that was stripping it. The 1in. was to small so I tried the 26mm like in what they used in the write up but that was too small so I tried 27mm and that was too big. So I dunno what the hell to do. Is it possible that I can just tee into the oil inlet line to the turbo. Just tee into it like right were it is connected to the turbo. Please say yes! I have no clue what to do if I can't.

26.5mm imo. :P

I do know that thing is a bitch to get to when the engine's in the car, but you may end up having to retap the port or fab up a fitting that you can thread into the block or something. :shrug

The sending unit kind of has rounded edges on it, and they specifically make a special socket to remove it..any parts store should have one..if its stripped really bad, may have to get some vice grips or channel locks on it to get it off..pipe wrenches work awsome too..you wont be able to use a socket on it afterward though :)

Is it just called a sending unit wrench or something. I need exact names because the dumb people at RicerZone gave me a very confused look when I asked about it. Should I just try another Auto Zone or like O Riley's or Advanced Auto Parts. Should they have these? God I wish I lived in a town with poeple who knew what I was freakin talkin about. All the Auto stores around here have some freakin ricers that don't know the first things about anything mechanical, all they know is how to hook up some "tricked out" neons. Sorry, bad day. End rant. Please help :cry

Its an Oil Sender Unit socket. It looks like a big ass socket that you put on your socket wrench. Its about 1 1/8 or so big and deep. it should be with all the other sockets in the tool dept.

For some reason, I found the oil sensor socket at Advance Auto to be too shallow for my oil pressure sensor. I had to buy a deep well 1 1/16". That works perfectly. It has a 1/2" drive, so I had to get an adapter to fit on my socket wrench.
