I need more detail about sealing the lower chamber with o-rings. Who has done this? Outcome?
I sick of this flutter, and I'm still paranoid about everything that doesn't seem right.

I sealed the lower chamber on the type-s with some teflon tape.... probably not as good as th o-ring method, but it is what I had around the house to give this a try. I have run it like this for 4000 miles no flutter and no leaks...

Cool. Now what are you actually sealing? I have no idea what sealing the lower chamber means. Give me detail on how to do this. Thanx man! :thumbsup

I apologize I dont have any pics but if you take out the allen screws on the top the type-s wil come apart. you can then see where the lower port is connected... thee are few ridges, sorry I suck at explaining things. you can use some o-rings or teflo tape to seal this up... hope that helps some...

yo check it

do it like this
hook up the small port to a boost source
only bad thing is the bov will leak after 12 psi if set up like this. But it makes the valve open super fast to minimize low boost flutter.

Now i've got a Greddy Type S coming in the mail for my set-up. i'm plannin on boostin around 18 psi on this BOV. if the method Jamesman showed leaks after 12 psi, how can i seal the lower chamber of the Type S BOV so it won't be leakin at that boost level? Thanx

that is exactly what needs to be done.... a picture is worth a thousand words, much easier than trying to explain it.

aaahhhhhh shit! I hooked everything back up and when I have both lines hooked up, it won't blow off. I sound like the flutter but different. I didn't wanna take any chances so I hooked it back up the old way. I have the spring set as soft as I can get it without it coming out. I also have a good vac. source. Any ideas on what's wrong?

hook up the lower small port to a boost only source. no vacuum. you need to hook it up before the TB by tapping into the hard piping. I would NOT recommend using the wastegate line. It makes the wastegate react slower. Find a dedicated boost only source for the lower port and run the standard vac/boost line to the top port.

I've got all my lines hooked up to a vaccuum block in line with my brake booster vac line. I'm not sure of any boost only ports. Is the port on the compressor a boost only port or no?

the port on the turbo is a boost only port. BUT it is also the wastegate signal port. If you use this port you need to T it, but your wastegate will react a little slower, so you have to be careful. You will otherwise need to make a custom port somewhere on the IC piping to take a signal off of.

I've got the wastegate hooked into the intake maifold, so that port on the turbo is capped off right now. I'll try this shit in a minute. Thanx dood!:thumbsup
