ok, ive had my car running for a while now....about two days ago, i was pretty sure i had it tuned just about perfect...the car was running great..im boosting about 8psi with a 14b.....i didnt have any CEL for the whole day....the next morning i was going to check a couple oil leaks and various things when i noticed my EGR valve solenoid was melted....the nipple that goes into the thick 1" hose was melted....so i stuck another one i had on and started the car....now it was idling like crap...im at -25% ltft at idle and running about 10 vacuum...i had two cel throughout the day, system too rich and air/fuel metering....my egr solenoid already melted again.... i dont know if that would be making me run rich somehow or what.....my first gear i get about .96v o2sensor reading, second about .94, then third seems to slowly climb from a very low number....i havent really beaten on the car too much lately, but when i pull hard in third the egt's climb past 1550 and close to 1600 i shut the car down...... my next question, i can not get my freaking pocketlogger to stay connected....im a 95 and it will not stay for more than 4-5 seconds at a time....i cant do any logs at all....anyone 95 have this problem, know how to fix it? any help to these would be appreciated...thanks

With the EGR solenoid disconnected the car will run like crap. Not sure why it is melting so i cant help ya there. For the PocketLOGGER problem have you messed with the byte timing tests? Try resetting the settings and re-run the inter-packet and the inter-byte delays.

ive tried doing the tests with the pocket logger, but it never stops....ive had the inter-byte delay up to 300+ and it just keeps going....it wont connect at all... i dont know why its melting it either, but im guessing the exhaust is just so hot and its melting the plastic...i think im going to say screw emissions and block the damn thing....its a pain in the ass, im melting vacuum tubes all over the place because of it....anyone else know anything? thanks

I have a 95 also and cant log because my logger wont stay connnected. I had it connected for about 3 mins at the longest, but other than that it disconnects right away and I cannot even do the tests.

All the connections are good and solid. Dont know why it wont stay connected. I asked around a little while back, and was unable to get a good answer from anyone.

If anyone knows, PLEASE help us out.

See if those tips help you. If not, there is a link on the bottom that allows you to fill out a "help" ticket.
