Can someone measure an injector end to end and also the diameter of the O ring at the nozzle/pintle end. Direct fit or stock only please. Trying to see how the measurements compare with MSD 400cc injectors (all there injectors under 96lbs are the same size). I have a feeling injectors are like break pads (many cars use the same styles but even more so). Also tell me if the stock/aftermarket injectors pintle is one whole or several holes (no 600cc to 800cc please I'm sure they wont be the same). going to look at Corbins site pics now.

hey stan,
i have a few questions, i have a star stage II also, i have the je pistons and crower rods sitting in my garage i was wondering how much did you pay to install them. also where did you get your clutch and how much. and lastly how much boost are you running. i email wyatt all the time and he doesnt answer anymore. so any help would be greatly appreciated. and if you wnat just email me directly at AlvinTwilley@email.msn.com

What do you know they are the same size.
I dont really know how much I paid all in all to have the pistons put it cause the process was so long but I can tell you I have standard bore pistons so I didn't bore. Wait let me get my damn reciepts: Okay I paid a grand total of about $1100 which included all labor and everything except the cost of the pistons and rings (stock rods and crank were machined and used). I run up to 10psi on a regular basis (up to! more like all the time since I got intercooled). When I get injectors I plan on cranking it up to not beyond 15psi (until I have a back up engine to throw in). I have a non modular centerforce with a neon flywheel. I got it from howell automotive for about $260 but I cant recommend it. Go with the modular CF or better yet Clutchmasters stage 3 or 4 (I had a CM stage 3 in the past which was great).

No I didn't get them. I'm still working on Murix to release his 36lb injectors to me (he's moved up).

The only ones I know for sure are RC Engineering (and I'm sure they are either Seimans, Lucus or Bosch). I am just looking for something cheaper than $360. Murix used 36lb=370cc something
from a 91 LT1 Camaro so at least we know checy V8 injectors fit.
He's decided to give them up so thats what I'll be using for a while.

What max boost do you think you can acheive w/ 440's,FMU(12:1),and S-AFC on stock internals?Think 12lbs is overkill for our bottom end?

If you're using 440's, you want need a 12:1 FPR. i'm using 3:1, but you could probably go lower.

On stock internals, just to be safe, i'd never go over 8-9PSI. Otherwise, even if you aren't going lean, you'll likely crack a piston just from trying to compress .5L of air at 12PSI with a 9.6:1 compression ratio.

Also, Stan: 440's from RC are Lucas.

Yeah I also have a 3:1 calibration disk for the FMU waiting to be installed. On a stock bottom end 12psi is too much. What Dark0ne said sounds good. I have 10.6 compression/forged pistons but dont plan on running more than 12psi daily or 15psi ever. Keep in mind I also have access to a back up vehicle if shit doesn't take well and want to start a new engine anyway so dont do what I do. I've also ran 70hp shot of nitrous, then 10psi daily for the last 40K miles so my engine has me a bit cocky at this point.
