Squeeze an empty 2 Liter bottle of coke, thats what it sounds like minus the plastic noise. In other words not much at all just a Huff of air comming out when you let off the gas!

Most places let you replace it...the greddy type S is a direct replacement. A number of people on the board use it.

well it does make a sound. Here's some movies of mine that you can hear it.

try downloading the 2nd movie and the 8th movie. I noticed it got louder when I went hicomp also.

mine does not sound liek a 2liter at all...i love the way it sounds especially on hot days when the air is thick.

If you're running baby boost and the stock filter adapter pipe, it almost has a shrill warble to it. If you throw the filter right on the turbo inlet like I do, it's more of a vast, world filling sneeze.
There are only so many ways a discharge of pressurized air can sound, after all. I still don't understand the need for pretty sounds in a blow off valve - it either does its job or it doesn't...
