Well I am up and running now! Besides that, I am still only boosting 2-3psi through 4-5k rpm's .. the turbo is spooling up great but im not seeing any more than 2-3psi. I am running the hose from the side of the wastegate to the side of the turbo? I have the turbonetics deltagate wastegate with the 7psi spring in it. Is something wrong here? I did a PROPER boost leak test and found nothing and teh BOV is not leaking under pressure either. Does something need adjusted or what is going on here?

something dont add up! im not familair with the deltagates, but it sure sounds like you have a leak of somekind somewhere. are you 100% sure its a 7psi spring? do they make lower psi springs? sorry, im not much help.

so i'm assumin your not running a boost controller at all?? so what boost gauge are you running? where do you have that teed in at? a little more info would help. if your teed from the turbo to the wastegate it should give you the 7psi. people have had issues with those wastegates.

im using an ac autotechnic boost gauge and its teed into the back of the intake manny ... only reaches like 2-3psi and the bov you cant barely even hear (blitz) ... i did tests thru the intercooler piping and thru the side of the turbo. the wastegate has a sticker that says 7 on it so i was guessing it had a 7lb spring in it. i have a turbo xs manual bc but im afraid to adjust it, lol im dont wanna blow up the motor adjusting it. any more suggestions, anything will help at this point.

Well if it's not making 7psi there are 3 options. 1. a bad guage. 2. a boost leak. 3. it's not a 7 lb spring. I think option 1 or 2 is most likely the cause. I have seen some other posts on your testing in the turbo section. So just to verify you made a tester with a tire valve in it and you pressureized the intake pipes by hooking your tester up to the turbo and running compressed air in there right? If you got it to hold pressure with the tester attached then you have no leaks. When I test mine I preasureize it to about 10psi and then listen for leaks... Hope this helps...

yes i put a tire valve thru inside of a rubber cap and clamped it onto the turbo intake side and used an air compressor to feed air through it and found nothing. the boost gauge is fine, i know im not boosting as much as i should, i feel somewhat slow. i guess ill just have to set my bc.

dont do that yet! you still dont have the problem fixed. was your deltagte new when you bought it? is it possible there is a smaller spring? buy or borrow an autometer gauge and double check your gauge.

is your BC in the sytem now, or is it off the car?

i used a faze boost gauge and got the same readings ... yes the gate was brand new when i got it ... i have the bc in the engine bay but not hooked up. any other suggestions guys?

Loosen the nut on the top of the deltagate and use an allen key to push the bolt in, turning it clockwise. This should put more tension on the spring and allow more boost.

Advice #2, cap off your compressor nipple :) and run your vac source either tee'd off of your bov or directly from the intake mani.

Are you running the proper fuel requirements for 7+ psi?

im on stock injectors but im using whatever came with the kit ... the vortech sfmu or what not ... maybe i am not getting enough fuel ???? hmmm ????

How much pressure did your system hold when you tested it? If I were you I would pressurize the intake track again with about 10 psi of air. (that means when you unhook the compressor from the tire valve you should be able to put a guage on the same valve and read 10psi) then see if it is holding the pressure. If it is then check your boost guage to see what it says (if your boost source is the manifold then it won't show on your boost guage). if your system is holding the 10psi and not leaking then you either need a new guage or an MBC to turn up the boost. But I doubt that the deltagate even comes with a 2-3psi spring though so that's prolly not it, unless it's a 5lb spring and you get 3psi of drop from the IC.

ive just been using an air compressor to feed air thru the valve. i have tested EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING, lol. i guess i will just have to turn the bc up to like 6psi in case the gauge is off so i dont blow anything in the motor. its like, when i start to boost very little, feels like someone is pushing back on my car causing me not to go fast, lol. i know the traction sucks and i need to get a phantom grip, but for now i need to boost more than 3psi, i wanna hear the blitz bov damnit ... its so weak right now cuz of the little boost! damn.

Ok so here is what you need to do. feed some air into the turbo inlet until it preaserizes the piping. (meaning you should be able to put a tire pressure guage on the valve and see 10 psi in the piping.) Then check for leaks...
