7054, Surging idle...and tranny fluid replace. Posted by E_ME_2, Jul-03-01 05:14 PM
My cars idle surges sometime when I stop...it will bobble up about -10 on the boost guage a few times and then settle down at -15 when stoped...?? what could the prob. be ?
Also, Im thinking 70kmiles is a good time to have the tranny fluid changed...any ideas on how much this will cost ? also, what I could expect to pay for a new front right pvc axle ? Mine squeeks like hell when I turn all the way to the right.

What kind of tranny do you have??? If it is an AT then it would probably cost you around 40-70 bucks. Lucky for me, my friend works at a local Dodge service station and I get mine for free. All I can tell you is, after seeing my friend work on it, it's a pain in the ass. It's so far different than doing your own oil change because you have to take the pan off, and with the pan hanging there, let the fluids drain!!!!!! Anyway, hope this helps!!!!

Oh yeah, about the pvc axle, are you talking about the cv axle??? If you are, it's probably gonna cost you between 50-120 bucks for EACH axle.
