Ford motorsport injectors for the Mustang GT are a direct fit? Dont know if its true for us but seem like several neon owners have discovered this (they also have two different types of harnesses used on neons. one they are direct fit, one requires soldering diffeerent harness to wire em). Why do I care you ask? 310cc injectors are $230 for 8 and even 370cc are only $360 for 8 new. Now being cheap and trying to get them before the shootout this would be great if true. I only want to add a few more lbs of boost and could sell the other 4 to someone else who wants injectors.

Actually.. I had known this for sometime. Reason being is I strolled over to Ed Hale (domestic speed shop) to use his bench grinder to polish my valve cover .. and I saw injectors on a table. I had my 450's in a box sitting on my passenger seat and compared the two for size and fitment. Sure enough, they matched geometrically. And Mustangs do use Saturated injectors.

Things that make you go "Hmmmmmmmm".

I forgot to mention that I swapped out my RC 450cc (yes 450) for 500cc Venom injectors. So if anybody wants them.. 275.00

Corvette LTx, Pontiac Firebird, etc
Just compare the injectors to a corvette LT1..if they are same size, then it'll work!

It's just that we need injectors that are the right size..and usually these stock injectors are like 220cc/min since it's a V6 engine

Yeah F*ck you too Raizin LOL. what Domestic shop doesn't sell Mustag parts or what Domestic catalog doesn't have a seperate mustang section! Seriously they are in the Summit racing main catalog. The 370cc are no longer listed in the last few catalogs but the 310cc are. for like $240 for 8. If two people go in thats only $120 a set (who's down. If they dont fit summit does take returns right?).

Vortech 440cc injectors are $56 each and are high impedence. wonder if they fit too (seeing how they love the 5.0L). They say Bosch/Ford type. The other type is Lucas. We must be one of the two.

I'm down! Can we run 310's without SAFC? I only got stage I so will I need an adj. Fuel pressure reg? BTW it's the Star kit with the WHINBRO.

You will need an AFC. you wont need (would be nice but I wont have one either) a adj fuel pressure reg. You might want to get a 4:1 or 6:1 recalibration kit ($30) for the Vortech FMU too keep fuel pressure down (the main purpose of me getting injectors) and reduce the amount of adjustment needed by the AFC. You dont have to have that either. And yes the star kit has the whinebro unless you recently bought it from turbogs.com. I think he's using an inline pump now.

Well I think 30 smackers is alright for the FPR. I might have to wait for SAFC. What about boost? How much can I run safely? I was more interested in getting the pressure down like you had said earlier.

Well you would need an intercooler to raise boost beyond 5-6psi. I'm not sure how high 310 will take you but I only planned on running 12-13psi with them (I figure 10psi with stock 235cc then 310cc outa be good for 12psi). I really want larger injectors cause I dont think 310cc are big enough to lower fuel pressure as much as I'd like. I've stumbled across a bunch of high impedence 400cc-440cc injectors from MSD and Vortech. So far what I'm gathering it there aren't many types of injectors to begin with. Basically there's high/low impedence, a few different pintle styles (nozzle) and rail type (dont know what other type but this is what we need). I got some measurements off MSDs website so I'm gonna post for some measurements.

Yes they do take returns, but with a restocking fee if there is nothing wrong with them... I think, don't quote me...

BTW, I remember starting this thread back at the beginning of the year, but was talking about the RX7 and MKIII Supra injectors... I had the size of the injectors listed, can't remember them now...

I am interested in this as well, since I have the AFC now...
