Blue smoke or white smoke? If your bottom end is not rebuilt your piston rings could be shot, you might be pushing oil past them.

if you dont have a built motor with bigger injectors.. don't run the 20g over 5lbs of boost.. the motor can't take it.

Could be the seals. Have you checked the turbo? If not, check it... then check the valves & bottom end. You KNOW what blue smoke means.
* edit: Fuck it. Re-build the engine if you're going to run a 20G.

wait
so
you add boost... THEN do supporting mods
well thats one way to do it

when i had the s16g(hrc stage 2) i could get about 6lb and no bucking down, with the s20g i will get about 4lb then it bucks down real hard.i didn't change anything but the turbo. could it be my plugs? the turbo is new and i waited 1000 mile before boosting.i plan on runing 5-6 lb until i build my motor but until then it shouldn't feel like i hit a wall.upon starting the car in the morning no blue smoke but about 5 min later then it starts to smoke.when i'm driveing i don't really see any smoke in the rearview but when i'm at the light and its ideling i can see smoke. damn..this sucks

its really just too much turbo for a car without supporting mods for it. thats probably why its bucking.. check your plugs, see how the car drives without the turbo inline..

okay, i changed my spark plugs and wires, drove my car today to work and boost it to about 5lbs then it boggs down hard.but if i shift through all the gears at 5lbs its fine.its just won't hold 5lbs through 5000 rpms.so does this mean that the s20g is to much for my car like siueclipse said.i figure it should atleat hold 5lbs through 7000 rpms.Any ideas guys?

List everything else that you have done to the car... without knowing your entire fuel and ignition system its very hard to offer any sort of educated guess about what your problem is...
So what fuel pump? Fuel pressure regulator? Injectors? fuel lines? Ignition system? List everything...

Do you have a fuel cut defender of any sort?
What are your SAFC settings? Why are you even using an SAFC on stock injectors?
The STAR T3/T4 is bigger than a 20g. Too much turbo for a stock motor my ass.

If you get a big puff of blue smoke after sitting idle for a while then your valve seals are bad. If it smokes all the time your rings are bad. Like ^ said disconnect the pipe on the compressor outlet and go for a drive. If it stops smoking you know the oil is coming from your turbo.

talked to hrc today, they told me to check my fuel presure but i can't.. i'm still waiting on my fuel guage.. should be here soon, they also told me to check for leaks in the fuel line, its like 8 pm here and its dark.. so i jacked the car up ,checked things out and found no leaks but found somthing odd.i get this lil hissing noise form the fuel line not sure where its comming from but it sounds like its from hrc inline fuel pump like air is comming out and i'm prob losing pressure.i know the pump is working because of the noise the pump makes but a hissing sound??can't really find out where with the loud inline. should i take the inline out and just use the walbro?will i be okay?

got a chance to work on my car today..still having some problem with the bogging down..some one told me it could be fuel cut..i have the missing link and tried installing hrc black box..still i get the bogging down feeling. so its prob not fuel cut, i jacked the car up to check the fuel lines going to the vortech fmu and hrc inline but no leaks still but i can hear that hissing sound from the inline. so i took the fuse from the inline and disabled it and tried to drive with it off and only relying on the walbro. to my suprise the car boost pass 5lbs with no bgging down and it runs good..to much fuel with both hooked up?anyway i read that you guys think it would be better to have both fuel pumps running cuz i have stock injectors but it boggs with the inline hooked up.what do u guys think? oh!one thing that worries me is that i can hit 10 lbs (to much boost!!)and i afraid thats to much on my setup. how do i adjust the waste gate to get it lower boost. i think i have the 8-10 lb aculator..i do have the profic b but have i dont have it hooked up yet..thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I think you need to splurge the $25 or whetaver it costs for a fuel pressure guage. When your fuel system is primarily comprised of small injectors and a RRFPR, you NEED, need, need a fuel pressure gauge. I can't think of a more important guage besides a boost gauge for the tuning of your engine.
