I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on the use of nitrous. Fair, not fair, cheap, legit. I was just wonderin.

I don't see how it's not fair. The car is still faster no matter how you look at it.

But FYI...Bottles are for babies, real men use forced induction. lol

(then you got those assholes with too much money that have n2o and FI :P)

more power to ya, its all fair in love and war imo. just different ways of doing things is all, im not a fan though...id rather boost the living daylights out of anything with cylinders

Nitrous isn't cheap, by any means. When all said and done, a good system will probably be in the $1200+ ballpark.

It's all in the tuning, and what the internals can handle. To "safely" run respectable amounts of nitrous one would need:

1. New pistons and rods
2. New stainless steel valves
3. Catalytic converter delete option with decent exhaust
4. New axles
5. Access to a wideband

Hmmmm, I have all of these things...

If you're tuning with boost in mind, find a way to force the wastegate open and tune the car with nitrous "normally aspirated" then add boost after it's tuned properly.

i think of it this way...

Most people go with n20 becuase they cant afford much else...I mean not everyone had 3500 laying around for a turbo kit....

So they pay 650 bux for the for NOS kit...But in the end, you will blow up...You will end up eating your rings, busting a pistion or somthing...I saw a crx eat is motor alive with one mistake...Its a cheaper route then turbo...but in the long run its worth it to save for boost...thats IMO

its all up to you, but if you can make it fast, and tune it...you will get respect from everyone

I am really considering a 50-75 shot for my turbo, but still new to the world of boosing on the bottle. It just sounds too risky.

No different then turbo'ing a 420A. They all blow up sooner or later.
