Why is it that some people keep breaking axles, but others like myself have never broken any?

Is there anything about your setup that could be putting more stress on the CV joints than normal?

Did it even actually break, or just pull apart?

The built axle kinda stripped out the coupler piece that goes into the trans. I think they made the axle too short and it caused it to ride to far out in the coupler causing it to strip. Either that or I am making a rediculous amount of HP that I am un aware of. I am leaning towards the short axle though.;-) The stocker just plain out snapped.

Wow. I'm still on stockers until they break. I've done some hard pulls on 22 psi at the track with cheater slicks, so far so good. I'm just waiting for them to snap. :(

Yeah man I didn't know you bought them off of the drive shaft shop in the first place. Haha I recommened them to you. I honestly dont know what to say. I would call them up and bitch though cause I don't THINK your putting down HUGE amounts of power to snap that beast I would flip.

i bet they were defective in some way. i have stage 2 axles from driveshaftshop

i was messing around at the track 2 weekends ago. launching at 19lbs of boost.

i have motor mounts, sticky tires, lsd.. and i didn't snap. are you sure you put them in completely so they were straight and not off centered?

The track was super grippy that day. Abolutely the most traction I've seen - ever.

you need to tell those guys to come down here and make this track sticky. i burn out till 3rd gear with only like 16 psi. 2.7 60 foot and a 105mph trap. :shrug
