hey guys thanks so much for the help with trying to help me realize why my turbo blew. people were saying it could have been over rev'd and blown because of the boost leak ... well i just thought of one more thing but i dont know if this could do it or not ... when i first installed the intercooler with the star kit, i had the intercooler pipes hooked up backwards for the first couple times i was driving .... could this have blown the turbo or no?? thanks guys, help out a newbe, haha!

No. The turbo doesn't care how the pipes are routed.

How, exactly, could you hook the pipes up "backwards" ?

well i had the pipes going to wrong sections on the intercooler ... the throttle body pipe was going to the wrong intercooler piece and vide versa.

That's kinda hard to do.

No, the IC also does not care which direction the air flows through it.

ok then, does it matter where the spring is adjusted on the blitz BOV? could that do anything to the turbo?? i could barely hear the damn thing when i was boosting (1-3) psi cuz of the leak, is that becuz i wasnt boosting much becuz i know the blitz BOV is pretty loud. i just had the screw on the top of the BOV set how it came, should it be adjusted or does that have nothing to do with the turbo blowing either....you guys are helping me out sooo much, thanks and keep helping out the newbe!

If the BOV doesn't leak when you pressure test the IC pining, and it doesn't flutter when you shift under boost, then it's adjusted where it should be.

when i did my boost leak test, all i did was pump air through the side of the turbo and i got a leak coming from teh hose connected from the pcv valve to the intake manifold, was leaking from teh intake manny, would i see a leak coming from teh bov pumping air through the side of the turbo?? i dont think it fluttered when shifting, atleast i didnt pay any attention to it, what do you mean exactly? thanks soooo much man, please help, props to you darkone!

ok well what safety steps should be taken when i install the new turbo so i do not blow another one ... prime the turbo for a few seconds before driving it the first time, be easy on the turbo for a day or two and what else .... this MUST not happen again to me, please help.
