well after my long drawn out rebuild, and many many other varios projects to get to a stage 3 we finally started the car up today to find out that when # 3 cylinds chipped and chewed the top ring up it shot the pieces into the turbo n must of worn or tore the seal as the fucker burns oil like a fuck. so i am turbo shopping and came accross this. http://www.turbochargers.com/Turbos/TurboUpgrades/T3.htm
would this be a good turbo? or is it to small, i want somthing that will spool early to help out downlow since i am auto, but do u think it is a waste? if you have any other suggestions please tell me, just remember i am extremely over budget and need somthing in that price range?TIA

ok i found better turbo's i think?http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gartur.html of those, it the sub 600 range which one do you think will be good,im not sure i like how little air my old turbo flowed so this time i dont want anything that is gonna spool really high but i want it to have alot of potential for power. so probably bigger that that t3 on the other site.

you can get the t3/t04E 57trim garret on ebay for $300....the very same one that last site has listed for $500something..

i have a ported t3 ...its almost the same thing on that first site... I love it, i dont go above 16 psi, and there is NO turbo lag at all...it just spools and my tires just spin in 1st and second, its nuts...i love my turbo

I like that manifold..I cant wait for my star kit :-/..

when would the t3/t04E 57trim garret spool and how much air does it flow in comparison to say a 16 or 20g, how much boost and hp is it good for?

your last turbo there is identical to the one that comes w/ the star kit. it will make you lots of power. if you dont plan on going with more than 16-17psi i'd recommend an Evo3 16g or that t3 you were looking at. Much faster spool than the t3/t4 and you'll be just barely pushing those two turbos at that psi.

what is that fitting coming from your block? Is this your oil feed line starting point? Just caught my eye. BTW who made your manifold, they rock and can I buy one?

when i called the place that sells that t3 they said it was way undersized for the 420a and it was on backorder, so do you know of anywhere to get the evo3 16g or another little bit larger t3 for a decent price, also it needs to be internally gated!

with that turbonetics t3/t04e 57 trim turbo when will that begin to spool and when will it hit full boost 15psi

if your intested pm me. i have a wholesale account w/ dsmparts.com and i can get you an evo 3 16g if you like(or anything else they carry for that matter) A t3 is not undersized if your only going to run 15psi out of it. You will spool so fast its crazy and at 15psi you won't be pushing that turbo to its limit. The evo 3 16g is an awsome choice, fast spool and power to get you well into the 300whp range effeciently.
