I have no money, but I really want to turbocharge my 2GNT. My plan is to use a 14B, side mount intercooler, blow off valves, and piping from 1G and 2G 4G63s. The turbo can be had for around $100, the side mount for $40, and the blow off for $10, so a huge part of the cost of putting together a turbo system is gone right there. The only things I need to attend to, then, are the fuel system and the electronic side of things.

I have read a couple posts about not using a SAFC, and just using the Vortech SFMU with the smallest disk but the fastest rising rate? how does that work? What sort of injectors will I need in this case, since I presume they will be working at a 100% duty cycle? How much messing around do I have to do with my stock ECU?

If all is well and good, and the only things I need to pay full price for are the SFMU and manifold, I could be up and running for less then $1,000. The only parts that are going to give me a lot of trouble is the water injection for the turbo, and then how to regulate boost so I don't blow my motor.

BTW, I know the saying CHEAP - FAST - RELIABLE (pick two), and I also know that I am choosing Cheap and Fast and my reliability is going to be compromised.

Any guesses on how much power I could produce with a 14B and the sidemount would be appreciated.
