69302, Who has a HRC kit with 96+ fuel system. Posted by flamineclipse, Apr-18-04 07:25 AM
Here's the deal. I bought my kit used from a guy who had it on a 95, so I need the the 96 fuel kit. I have the instructions for it but I need a hardware list. Hahn won't sell me the kit without the black box (I'm gonna use a ml instead) and another craptech which I already have, it also costs like $275.00. They also won't give me the hardware list because I don't know the invoice # from when the kit was purchased from them. The place where the kit was originally purchased is now out of business so I'm screwed. I'm sure I could figure out what I need but it would be sooooo much easier if one of you guys could get me a list so I could make 1 trip to get what I need and have it over with.
Thanks, Chris

i bought mine off a guy with a 95 aswell.
i got the sfmu. and run -6an lines.
get a 4an female to 6am female. then get a 6an male to 6an male. get a an fitting that is 6an female and allows you to add it to a ss line. get 2 of those. then that is the lines that you need to goto the fuel rail to the sfmu. (i know you dont have that, but i dont know what fittings the craptech has) then get a rubber fuel line, and a 6an female to ss line fitting. i dinno thats what i have. or get some tee's and make a spot for a fp gauge. if you need more help, msg me on aol sn: geespoof

Your pretty much just adding a return line to your fuel system (which the 95 have stock but was removed in later models). It definitely.
Off topic: are you the dude who brought Jeremiah's kit?

The only I can think of that you are going to need from HRC that you probably don't have are 2 brass fittings that go under the rear seat near the fuel filter. They replace the banjo bolt. One is like a 90 degree thing and the other is something else. I don't have part number for them, but I do have pictures of them. If you want to see the pics, hit me up over e/m and I'll e/m them to you. The rest you can fabricate yourself .... it's really just a matter of a bunch of fuel line. If you have the cartech and your getting a ML you really don't need much else for the fuel. Do you have the relay?

Yes I have the relay and I think I may have the brass pcs your talking about. E-mail the pics to chrisreed@frontiernet.net and I'll see if that's what I have. What I was hoping for was a list of like how many feet of aluminum and rubber fuel line, connectors and sizes. Also the instructions say I need to put barbs on the fmu to attach the fuel lines, but mine is built different from the one in hrc's directions. The inlet and outlet is on the sides instead of the bottom and the lines are threaded in there. Should I put the barbs on or get threaded fuel line. :shrug If someone would tell me how to post a pic I put one up of it.

Most guys worship the ground THAT LOUSY GOOD FOR NOTHING PIECE OF SHIT Bill Hahn walks on. Screw him and his business, how many times does he have to say fuck you before you finally start to get it. I dont care how fast he makes a car go.....any shop who puts in the time can do that. I have seen a few of Hahn projects go south before he specialized in the 420a. He has no customer ethics or consideration unless your pockets are burting with cash and flowing into his. Anybody with the Hahn kit should be ashamed for supporting the lame ass.
Now that i am done ranting......Build up your fuel system, run a return line from the tank to the engine bay.....getting past the subframe might be tricky but you'll get it. Use the cartech or whatever fits your needs. Thats the only real difference is the 96+ has the Regulator in the back.

That's funny ... b/c there a ton guys on here who are quite happy with their Hahn turbo kit, and they run quite well. I called HRC yesterday just to chat about some ideas and they were very considerate. I guess I should be ashamed though ... :scratch

Yea i am not saying he has horse fu**ed everyone and i wasnt trying to say he screwwed everyone either. There as soo many guys he screwwed in the Chicagoland area.....A lot of guys on Chidsm have had problems with him. From injectors to tech help. The best story was selling a guy a set of 550 cc injectors to find out 8 months later when the same guy sent the injector out to have them cleaned and flow tested found out at 43psi theye were 450 cc injectors.....Hahn told him they rate their injectors at a higher PSI because most people are running aftermarket fuel pumps.....thats crap the site states they are rated at 43 or so. Bill would not attempt to help him at all. I would say in my own personal experience bill has been about 1/3 (good/bad) with me. I called him to discuss the exhaust gasket and a sealing issue, once he figured out it wasnt his kit it was sorry cant help, would even tell me what gasket he put in his kit. Another was the Super AFC....pointed me in the right direction that time, very nice too. Another was a time i wanted to p/u my parts....i live 5 mins away, not helpful tried to force me into shipping it (gasket), turned out the gasket he had was the wrong one so i would have had to ship it back.

Oh and as far as his kits....before he specialized in the 420a bill was known for turboing the impossible. A friend has a turboed lumina fron Hahn...3500 cutom kit and a month of good bye car. 8 months later the motor is junk at 8 psi which bill said would be fine. He takes the car to him and bill states it need forged pistons, blowby is so bad it wouldnt even run right. He agues the point bill told him it would be fine and he didnt fail to make oil changes or any overheating issues...bill told him he believed him and it was due to the turbo. That is crap, the car has been sitting in the garage for the past 7 years....with a junk motor. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE
