440cc injectors, 20psi fuel idle, 95psi fuel at 17lbs WOT

Cruising on the highway from 70 to 85mph my egt's sit at around 1500 degrees with a wideband (crusing) of 14.3. I have to ease on the gas pedal in that speed range, the moment I see the afr's going down just slightly, then I can stomp on it. My fuel doesn't react quick enough when I get on it. If I get above 85mph, my afr's go to 13.6 and i have instant fuel when needed and egt's start falling big time when i get on it, even at WOT.

I think I need to readjust the fuel map for the rpm range that falls between 70 to 85mph.

I have the same issue. I'm convinced it's the stock ECU doing it's NA routine. I'm fixing that with a digital fuel controller to by-pass the stock ECU. No amount of FPR tuning has helped.

Yeah, me too! (I thought this problem was just me). Same area as you, around the 65-75 crusing range, where the egts are 1500.

So my question is, will the 8 injector setup fix this?

I have never seen 1500 while cruising. If i am at 80, EGT's are around 1400 at most, on a flat surface. Going up hill, and things like that, will raise your EGT. There really isn't going to be a whole lot you can do about it, esp with a rising rate FPR..Do you have your EGR system blocked/removed? I noticed a drop in EGT's by about 50-75 degrees when cruising..

Mine also stays at 1400 or so degrees. That's with my lil ole 235's as well.

Same here on the Star (somewhat) set up. 75-85MPH is the "hot spot".

Get to 90mph or above, she is back to being a tad rich. So either I speed or take it slow lol.

I am with XtremeRS. My car hovers around 1400 degrees on flat level ground at 70 mph. Going up hill will increase the EGT on my car but usually if enough load is presented, the car begins to build boost and richen up the fuel mixture. The exhuast gas temperatures then begin to decrease to the 1300 degree range.

It's hard for a FPR to fuel the motor based on load. :7 That's just the nature of a FPR like that. Solution, 8inj or standalone.

and its 80mph.... stickshift is great...
