Ok, I know this has been answered many times, and I have gone over old threads about it, but I have two questions. First off, if I put the SFMU in the front, where the hell do I put it? I'm not seeing any room anywhere. My car is a '97 and mounting it up front sounds easier, if I can find a place to put it. If I do put it up front, where do I run the return line to. Yes, I know the tank, but which line going into the tank? Second question, I'm really confused about mounting it in the back of the car. All this talk about blocking off lines and such. What exactly would I be blocking off? Should I take out the stock FPR? Please help. I tried to use old threads, but they just confused the hell out of me. I don't want to end up cutting something I don't have to.

take out the old fpr and fuel filter, it's all one piece. Then you need to find another fuel filter to fit there. Where the old fpr is there should be 2 lines that connect to the fpr a return line and a fuel line. Connect the fuel line to the new fuel filter and to the hose that goes all the way to the engine. Next get about 10 feet of tubing and connect that to the return line. Bring that tubing all the way to engine. You connect the sfmu to the test port on the fuel rail and to the new return line you just put in.

Yeah it is a tight fit in there. If you don't have cruise control, then you can mount it there cause I've seen many RS guys mounting it there. I am a GS so I wanted to keep the cruise control so I had to remove the windsheild washer reservoir; that thing frees up so much space.

i removed my ac lines and bolted it up right next to the firewall

I was thinking about ditching the windsheild reservoir. Just didn't want to tear it out only to find that I need a inch more of space. I have cruise and for the time being my AC works. My squirts aren't hooked up anyway, so the reservoir is just taking up space. Thanks a lot guys! Once again 2GNT proves to be a valuable resource!

Hey man this is where I have my Vortech at now but it is an old picture (sorry about the size) of when I had my Craptech there. I put it where the factory airbox used to be. It is really easy to tune it from there but if you are or ever plan to be intercooled I suggest you just put it where the washer fluid tank is. Thats what I plan on doing when I go intercooled.

If you can see in my sig mine is under the cruise control on the passenger side. I mounted the cruise lower in the engine compartment and fabbed up a bracket to hold the SFMU. I did this over a year ago so its a little foggy but I can get some pics tommrow if you want. It is also in the Hahn directions. No scanner though. Sorry.

I also mounted mine under the cruise control. You can see the gray top of the Vortech SFMU under the black box in the upper left corner.

what fuel filter is everyone using

Just use the stock fuel filter. It's a lot easier, and the right filter. All you have to do is unbolt the stock FPR and plug the hole. You can do this with a short bolt with an o-ring on it, or take the stock FPR and fill the inside with jb weld and let it dry really good, then screw that back in. All you have to do is stop flow where the FPR is. Then you don't have to buy a bunch of odd fittings and a fuel filter not made for your car.
