I noticed while we were taking the engine out that for some reason or an other the plug for that sensor was missing... The wire was there... but the plug was gone. Does this only check the oil pressure or does this do more then just check the oil pressure.

I have a oil pressure gadge in the passenger compartment... it works very well.... just wondering if this is something i can do without or if i should hook it back up.

BTW: Solar's Shortblock is done just waiting on ARP head studs...

that is the oil pressure switch for the idiot light.....thats all it does is annoy your girlfriend right before you lose oil pressure and she locks your engine up. :)

^ LOL. Yeah it's just for the idiot light. I removed mine, but I would not suggest doing that. I have an oil pressure gauge and figured I did not need it anymore. But one night my oil cooler line burst and I lost all my oil, I would have killed the motor if the guy behind me in an Srt-4 didn't tell me about the oil leaking everywhere!

Poor srt4 probably got cover in oil! :(

Lol, my gf doesn't even want to try to drive my car she says it remind her of an airplane too much electronics in the cockpit.
