68758, Lazy BOV? TurboXS RFL Posted by bhomeyer, Apr-10-04 01:24 PM
Quick question. I have a TurboXS RFL currently in my venge. Little background on the car (anything that MAY be important) :
Ported upper/lower intakes(slightly polished) 8 Inj setup EGR blocked off
Just seemd to me like the BOV is very lazy. I let off the gas, and it's not very responsive. Takes a second or two to open up.. And it doesn't seem to be openning all the way.
18 hg vaccum at idle, boost setting doesn't matter. Anywhere from 5-23 is the same.
No vaccuum leaks have been found, (by way of t/b cleaner, as well as an air compressor to main vaccuum lines)..
Is the BOV screwed up, or anyone have any ideas? I put a little oil on the plunger to keep it from sticking quite a while back, and I tried removing all the spacer washers, etc, doesn't help the issue.
Anyone? :)

2 things to check...
1) make sure you have a line running directly from the intake manifold- not shared with anything else...
2) use some WD-40 and lube the spring up so it will open easier...
try that and let me know how it works.
