Ok, I know where its suppose to come from off the block, and I can see it, I can reach it, I've disconnected the sensor going into it, now I just can't get a wrench or socket on it. Any ideas? I even went and bought a $35 set of metric deep wells. They might fit, but the sensor won't allow for the socket to slip on far enough. Please help. Oh, and there is no chance of getting vice grips in there either.

Go to any auto parts store and get a sender unit wrench. Then you will be golden my friend. Or you could cut a perfectly good box end wrench and that would work too. :thumbsup Good luck.

i know advanced sells a socket. i think its an 1 1/16" or something close. its pretty fn huge .

If I remember correctly, I used a cheap box wrench and cut the handle off to shorten it up enough to fit in there. Wait until you take your engine out someday, it's so easy to get too it turns your stomach.

It's 1 1/16" Extra Deep. Just get the socket, it's less than $10 I know.

1 1/16th doesn't always work. Apparently does for some people and not others. It did NOT work for me. Might as well just get an "oil pressure sender socket" that is the actual name too.

Just for the record I was talking about the oil sending unit socket...it says 1 1/16" right on it. It's just deeper than a normal socket.

Jack the car up and put car on jackstands, lay on your back and crawl underneath. Look at the back of the block. Below the intake manifold you'll see two sensors sticking out of the block. It's the one on the drivers side of the car. Unclip the wire harness and then get a 1 1/16" oil sender unit deep well socket. (Available at most auto parts stores.) That's the easiest way to get it out. The wire harness has the same type of lock clip that your coil pack has, if your having trouble getting it to unlock. Just practice on the coil pack one and then once you figure it out, crawl back underneath.
