Well I have just about enough money to get my turbo kit and I am planning to get it in Aug when I get back from England. My question is for anyone who has to get there car smogged and has a turbo on it especialy people in Cali cause the smog tests suck here. I am kinda worried cause I have to get my car tested in october.

Well I got my emissions tested a few weeks ago and I passed with flying colors... But I live in Maryland, not CA.
There are usually two tests here...one with the car idling, and one at crusing speed in the top gear.
I did the idling test, but the people there said my car was too low and the wheels were too wide for me to do the high speed test, so I got out of that one...

I guess it depends on where you go..

heheheh don't you love socali!!! You should have it smogged before installing your turbo kit. after that, you are covered for 2 years before your next test. Another member on this board got his passed at a "friendly" shop over here in riverside. There are plenty of those shops around here so no worries. Just need to have money...:P

Well I am not to far from Riverside like 25 mins away so when the time comes to get it smogged maybe you could hook me up cause damn it I cant wait till october to get the kit installed:)

Hmm well the visual you'll fail for sure. The sniffer is another question. If you have a cat most likely you'll pass. Yeah find a shop that'll let you slide on the smog test. Ask around or get a hook up or something.

hey i live in jefferson co. ky and they say the smog testing here is just as strong as cali. if not stronger....(or the law)of smog testing....but anyway i passed with flying colors...

I have the same eclipse you do, <same color too lol> and I need to know the same question because I am buying a Hahn turbo kit soon too.. I will let you know anything I find out..
