anyone ever hear of these? i was looking through scc and came across their ad so i decided to check it out online. they seem pretty good. im assuming digital gauges are more accurate than needle ones. these are priced pretty good as well. heres the link.

ya those're pretty nice. there was a thread awhile back in the int/ext section. i forget if anyone ended up buying them or had any experience with them.

im thinking about trying them out but id really like to know if anyone has any personal experience before i buy them.

I know a few guys that have run them, and a friend of mine's shop is one of their distributors so he's put a few in. I've heard nothing but good about them. I just like being able to glance at a needle instead of trying to read a number while driving.

I'm looking to get digitals for my Daisy here this summer too. I found some decent ones at www.speedshop.org by DynoTune. Not a big name that I know of, but if they work like they're supposed to, it's good enough for me. No gauge pods for me. Sleeper on the column. }(

guess ill give em a try then. i wouldnt mind needles but ive always heard that digital gauges are more accurate; at least with a/f.

The Dynotune stuff is very quality. I've seen/used a lot of their stuff first hand, and it's top shelf. If I were going to use digital I'd go with either one of those.

they wont be any more accurate, just easier to get a quick reading.

however, with needles, you get a better concept of "quantity" like... if you look down at a digital boost gauge and see 2.29302303020203020494992929 you're like... ok whats that mean hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... subtract fifteen carry the two............."

but with an analog gauge, you see its a few mm above _______ and youre like "cool."

for some reason i think i find it easier to read a digital gauge at a glance than a regular gauge. but i like seeing needles move too. still undecided what to go with when i turbo. if i go digitial it'll prolly be dakota though. their solarix line is hella nice. plus i think blue digital gauges would match my reverse indiglo stock gauges and blue LED HVAC a lot better than an autometer gauge w/ a blue LED swapped in. (the entire face would be lit up rather than just the number and needle like on my stock gauges).

IMO...they look cheesy...it's a very late 80's early 90's look to me. And it's been proven that ppl respone better and faster to analog better then digital because you just look of the postion of the needle rather then trying to process numbers that digital gives you. But if you like'em...rock'em :thumbsup

i wonder why they don't offer digital a/f gauges? those would prolly sell quite well. much more useful than blinky lights and you could still mount it in a pod rather than tryna find somewhere to mount one've those rectangular ones.

www.gadgetseller.com IMO I've got mine custom mounted in the gauage cluster...I can post pics this evening if you like...but they have a good example on their site...and gilee8 or whatever has a right up in this section. But they sell retrofited autometer ones to for gauge pods.

ya i know there's quite a few digital a/f gauges on the market (gadgetseller included). but it seems no one makes a digital a/f gauge which fits in a standard gauge pod. being that dakota digital specializes in digital gauges which fit in gauge pods i would think an a/f gauge would be one've the first ones they'd develop since a digital a/f gauge is more useful than a digital version of ANY other typical gauge...

they have been around forever, Most hot rods use them as well as kit cars, they aren't a big company but they've been on the scene for a long time and they do make quality stuff

The dynotune gauges from speedshop.org will fit into a normal 2 1/16th gauge pod.

Daisy's getting A/F and EGT just like this guy here. No visible gauges at the light imo. Sleeper. }(

They're not hard at all. I think in some aspects, it's good to have digital, and for some it's better to have analog. Like boost and egt are good to have analog since you can quickly spot where the reading is at; for fuel pressure, I have the dynotune gauge cause it's cheaper that the autometer gauge (150 vs 200) and I like the exact reading it gives (easily tell 48.5 pis vs 50.3 psi. The a/f obviously is best to have digital cause those blinky ones are crap.
