Im still on my stock bottom end, been turboed over 2 years now,over 20k miles -star stage I with an added starquest ic. I have a compeletly unefficient fuel system. For a year and half, i didnt have an egt gauge, stock injectors, 8psi, stage I fuel system. I would do long highway pulls, not realizing the temps i was running. I cant believe the motor still runs well, gets a little oil on my ic piping once in a while...I think my little 420a should have bit the dust long ago, considering the abuse it took. How long did your motor last?

4 years. 1 year at 12psi. Was not blown when I rebuilt.

9 months. I was boost happy.

over a year until i rebuilt, boosted a strong 10psi for 20K+ miles until the headgasket leak crept up on me

haha Dino, yeah im getting the urge. 7-8 psi for two years doesnt feel like it used to.

So far, it's been 67000 miles in just over 3 years. I may have some slight problems, but overall it still runs fine. I'm in the process of rebuilding a spare though so I can turn the boost up more.

star stage 2, stock fuel system, 8psi.

Not "impressive" more like lucky most would say. I was just running and S-AFC, and thats it. I richened the mix up a bit, but I didnt really know what I was doing to be honest.

Like I said I think it was luck.

about 5000 miles until i got bored with 7 psi and rebuilt.

Over a year a year and a half now and 10,000 miles. First year was non-intercooled. No serious problems to date.

About 6 months then tried to test the limitations of my motor. Blew at 11psi on a long highway pull, plus I had the money to do a rebuild and just needed a good reason to do it.

HRC kit, S20G, FMIC, Howell bottom end 8.6 pistons, S-FMU, Blitz BOV, P&P head, SS valves, lots more little goodies

going on a year and a half, still dont have egt guage, just boost guage, no othe mods besides what came with the stage 1 kit. boosting only 5lbs. no catchcan, and not even the barb where i'm suppose to hook it up to on the air filter. hose is just hanging down. not a single problem yet, and i be going to the track!

hrm... mine lasted about 10k miles with many florida to chicago trips. then died when i pulled it out and stuck it on the floor. will run again once sek95gs starts it back up.

My first motor i had NOS on it.. all stock internals 50shot... I blew the shit out of my rings... I had bought the car with 54,000 miles put NOS on it at around 60,000 the engine went around 64,000... that was my first motor.. second rebuild i had J&E pistons crower rods the entire works.... my damn machine shop screwed up so i only got about 700miles out of her.... this time around I'm having the same setup but by a BETTER machine shop that does quality work... and also have a new head with SI valves ported polished etc... I hope it will last awhile.

1 year at 6psi just finished my rebuild last night, was not blow when i started my rebuilt!
