Hi bill, I've been trying to call to congratulate you but Ikow you are always busy...I spoke with lori though and she got the message, just wanted to make a public recognition of the incredible new time you performed in the RS, that ony shows that it can be done...I'm not known to be one of your strongest supporters in times, but there is tother times that regardless of what my preerenceinkits is,I got to say that I really congratulate and apreciate your efforts to meke the 420A one of the most impressive 4 bangers out thre.

Thanks, Mario!

I wish you continued success as well. The 420A is starting to come into its own, and regardless of what product or company one chooses to use with it, it pleases me immensely to see the eforts we are all making.

Three years ago, industry experts told me I was insane to pursue this engine. In those three years, we've come from mid 16's to high nines (and this season ain't over yet!). Insane? Sure am. I'm CRAZY about these cars!

420A Forever,
Bill Hahn Jr.

Hero, eh? Aw, cut it out, like my head isn't big enough already!

Seriously, tho, we are laying down the smack even as I speak with the RS. Testing of the final Shootout / NIRA Power 4 combo will commence on Tuesday evening, July 9 @ Route 66. Email me as that date approaches and I will verify.

22 days til Shootout,
Bill

UPDATE! Whoops, just checked the 66 website, no testing that Tuesday eve. Looks like Byron will be the place to go on the 7th, 8th, 14th, or 15th, or some combination of these dates.

We plan to debut the bad-ass combo on the Neon on the 7th at Byron, so if the RS is ready, it will run that day too.

Thanks,
Bill

Cool, I'll e-mail you the first week in July and find out the final plan. I can't wait, to see both the Neon and the RS tearing down the strip

Well bill, I was told that I was crazy as well when 3 years ago I deicided to buy a turbo kit for a SLOW RS, of course they all shuted up after a couple of them got spanked by the Thunder. Unfortunally my car got stolen and now destiny is making me face to the 420A and not ecxactly by choice. Hopefully soon I'll start a new project and most likely it will be a 420A definitly a DSM but still debating details between the 2 choices I have.

So far I'm just working hard to make this project come alive AGAIN stronger than ever.

PLease send me an e-mail so i can contact you personally I need to ask you a couple of things about a carthet I'm building in the shop I work for (Not a 420a) but I'm sure I could use some of your expertise.

Thank you

Not to step on anyone's toes, but I'm pretty sure Len Ayala pilots his neon, and Bill himself drives the mighty RS.

If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

Right you are!

It's a cheap thrill, really. Kinda handy to have an in-house test driver who is ready to go anytime!

I began dragging with my 427 '68 Camaro in 1982. Stepped to dragbikes soon after, but have always been involved in both four and two wheeled pursuits.

Best ET ever: 7.28 @ 185, Texas Motorplex, 1990. Was riding my Pro Comp Turbo Kawasaki dragbike. What a rush! I've run some high eight second passes on our streetbikes, too: lots more challenging than a pure dragbike.

Best ET on four wheels: 9.65 @ 140, Route 66 Raceway, 1999. Popping wheelies in my Turbo 5.0 Mustang. Killer street car, but absolutely dangerous to street race at that speed. I prefer the track!

It has warmed my heart to surpass the Mustang's MPH with our Neon this year (148 MPH so far). Next, we must surpass the 9.65 ET. After that, I wish to take a Pro Class car and surpass my old dragbike numbers. Now that will be a rush! Stay tuned!
