I tried using the search because im sure this has been answered before, unfortunately i could not find anything so i will proceed with my question.
If you've read any of my recent posts i am soon to be the owner of the car picture below, mitifitos old car. I plan on waiting awhile before doing any modifications; however, i would eventually like to run about 12-15psi. I'm still somewhat new to turbos and cars in general but I do know a little. If someone could help me out by being as specific as they possibly can with EVERYTHING i would need to run 12-15psi without risking damaging anything on the car (besides typical the typical wear n tear boost puts on your car). Right now its at 8psi on stock internals. Thanks a bunch!

Use the advanced search. the basic simple search doesnt work. Also, I dont mean to be an ass or anything but you dont even have the car yet and its a mighty car. How bout you LEARN the car 1st and what it takes to maintain a daily driver turbo'ed car. What are you gonna do with a 12-15 psi car if you dont even know how to work on an 8psi car. Spend some time with it before you think about dropping another 5-6 thousand into it for more psi.

oh and search. the answers you seek are all over this site.

Number one i did search and i didnt find anything, i mentioned that if you fully read what i wrote. Number two, i said i wasnt gunna go run more psi until i got to know her a little better and obviously once i got money to do this. I know im new and i dont plan on doing any work soon but i'd like to know exactly what it takes to safely run that much psi on the 420a engine. Please read everything that i write before you respond.

uhhh Why dont you READ WHAT I WROTE!!!! Heed your own words dude. I said use the advanced search. I just did a quick search and found..., are you ready... 302 posts in the turbo forum alone about 12psi...

for 12-15 psi, your going to need a built bottom end. check out vtengines.com or Faster than you, they have a banner at the top of the site.

as for a fuel setup, you can search because there are a bunch of different setups available. 8 injector, dfi's, rising rate regulators, etc etc.

im running about 14 psi, i have 400cc injectors, and a vortech sfmu. easily tunable with the bleed valve, but not as accurate as i would like. really just a built bottom end and a fuel setup and your good to go. you obviously already have a turbo kit. i would make sure you have all of the appropriate gauges and monitoring electronics.

I appriciate the advice RST but if ur just gunna be an ass in my posts then dont post anything at all. Repeating the post before you telling me to 'advance search' doesnt help me when i cant find anything. IF you dont want to respond to my question, then dont, its that simple.

That was my post man. Check who you are calling an ass here. Besides the search does work. And soulcontroller just told you what you need to know. Maybe you can check the post you just started over in performance that asks the exact same question?!?! Its cool that you just got (or are getting) the car and all but you need to slow down and listen to what everyone here is saying. Calling people asses who are trying to help you isnt going to get you very far here dude.

1.) hit the search button.
2.) choose the advanced search feature
3.) type in 12psi or 16psi or whatever you want
4.) check the AND radio button instead of OR
5.) check what forum you want to search in
6.) hit search now button...
7.) read posts
8.) read posts
9.) read posts
10.) drink beer
11.) read posts

doesnt get much more simple than that...

I'm calling no one an ass, you did that yourself in your first post. I'm not trying to piss anyone off and as you and many others are aware not only am i new to this site but pretty much forums in general. Please don't hate me kuz i dont quite know how to work it yet. whoa...lets all calm down....next time try searching a little better...i know theres some questions that you just really like to know and the search doesnt answer...but since he's already posted, lets make use of his post for future noobies.... anyways, yes, you will need a built bottom end.... if you only plan to run 12psi-15psi, you could probably just get away with new pistons and stock rods, but thats up to you.... you would probably need something like 400cc injectors with the SFMU like said above... also get an EGT gauge (if you dont already have one) and keep an eye on those while you wait for the bottom end...other than that, you should be alright...and welcome aboard

BTW... if you bought all the stuff you needed to run 12 to 15 psi, then you would also have the stuff to run 20 psi. Just some food for thought.
