With the only added benefit being equal length, and no long-term results, there is no way I would pay 3 times the amount Alain wants. I'm sure it's a nice piece, but it is WAY overpriced. Sure it comes with the Deltagate, but I already have a Tial 38mm anyways. The most I'd be willing to pay for that manifold would be about $400-450. Your friend might want to rethink his prices. I'm sure if he lowered the price he would sell a lot more, and probably end up making more money. People who are doing custom turbo kits are generally doing it to save money. A car can be turbo'd for around $1500-2000 if you shop around. I know because when I'm done I will have spent about $2000 including all gauges, manifold, new Evo3 16g, lines, hoses, couplers, sidemount, bov, wastegate, fuel system, and parts to make a downpipe and IC piping. It just isn't realistically or competetively priced. | |
