OMG, I broke a vacuum line. Ight i was fixing my throttle body and I accidently snapped that plastic vacuum line that leads into a sensor infront of the engine. I dont know what it is. The line leads to this sensor right by the turbo manifold. Its that big black that. What is that for? Can I still drive the car with out that? Is it safe? Need quick answer fast. Thanks

sounds like the EGR, you can drive with it, but you'll get a CEL. mine broke too, i just got a vac line and cut it to length, fixed.

The egr allows burned exhaust gases to enter the engine intake manifold to help reduce nox emissions. When exhaust gases are added to the a/f mixture, they decrease peak combustion temps.

They also gunk up your intake manifold with carbon. Take it off and make block off plates.
