67905, bottle heater question Posted by 96eclipse2nr, Mar-29-04 11:44 AM
looking on ebay for a bottle heater i ran across several for like 60 bux. its only the warmer so it dosent include the switch or relay (big whoop) but what i notice on some warmer systems is that they are "automatic" meaning they have a pressure transducer that optimizes the pressure by turning the heater on and off. now, is this transducer REALLY necessary? or can i just throw on a heater and watch my gauge? $60 sure beats the hell outta 230 like NX and NOS want. i think as long as i can keep an eye on my gauge and make sure of the pressure all SHOULD be fine. of course ill wire it to where the warmer cant just stay on...it will completely be cut off with the ignition. opinions? tia!

You can get a brand name bottle heater for under $130. I know summit has very good prices on them. I have no idea about the ones on e-bay!
