Hey guys,
I was thinking about getting a Walbro 255lph in hopes that it will cure my leaning out at 12-14 psi. I am thinking that at that psi even the stock pump and inline are not sufficient.

For those of you who are already running a Walbro, care to share where you got it from or where a good place to get one is?

Also is it necessary to change the fuel lines from from stock to a steel braided hose? Do the hoses expand or anything, or can I get by without steel braided?

What injectors are you running? You can get by without stainless I would imagine. Especially if you aren't on tiny ass injectors where you have to raise the fuel pressure to anything above like 80 psi.

Don't know the best place for the pump... came with my star kit.

I am running 415cc injectors, SFMU 2.72" ring/disk combo, and as mentioned stock in-tank and HRC inline.

Can anyone help a fool out?

you don't need to go to braided lines... it would only be for safety at your point. the stock work will work just as well. unfortunately I've got nothing on the other question for ya.

your perfectly fine with stock lines. you dont need bigger ones or S/S. I beleive the stock lines are rated fairly high. you won't burst one with the pressures you should be running thru them.

extreme psi should have them. i picked mine up off ebay new and pretty cheap. i did have to modify my stock fuel pump holder those the walboro was a little longer or possibly the rubber bushing that holds the filter on was a little thicker.

Lightning motorsports has them for $100 shipped.

I purchased the Walbro GSS342 (255lph-HP) pump. It's slightly longer than the stock pump. In order to make it fit, I modified the lower bracket by drilling a hole for the new position. It will sit a tad bit lower but works fine for me.

There is also a method used by KTECLIPSE where you cut the fuel supply line on the sending unit by 1/4". This will allow the pump to sit higher without modifying the bracket. It's entirely personal preferance, hope this helps.

easy install. i cut the supply line to make the pump work with the stock bracket. it hushes up the in line quite a bit.

what ^^ said up top. you can find em for around 100 bucks.

I got mine from extremepsi as well. It was ~$90. You should be able to figure out how to make it fit when you get in there to do it. It's simple. The fuel line thing is an easy fix, build a 8 injector setup. :7 I've tuned up to 22 psi on stock fuel lines, 8 injector setup, and the accel inline + walbro 255.

Yeah I would love to do the 8 inj setup. Seems like lot of work that I am really not wanting to do tho. If I was to build it, I have no laptop and no clue as to what to do as far as tuning. I am scared that I would blow the damn car up, as much as I want to do it sometimes.

Or you can get the hrc hi flow pump like I have. It's basically a walbro but it's from hahn :).
