not a good start... also, the wrist pins definitely dont fit into the piston... if you can see in the picture, its just a flat pin...the part number on the bag for the pin lock thingys was.. 812-042-cs...any other help doug

ok, i measured the stock piston to the je pistons.... they are stock bore, doesnt bother me because i have an engine with only 25k miles... the wrist pin looks like its in the same exact spot as the stockers at the same height...did they make stock compression pistons? im confused as hell right now... there is a number in the piston 87 then a little m with a line under it..does that say anything? thanks doug

87m is the forging number. It's just the number of the slug before it was machined down by JE.
Are they really JE pistons? Is there a JE logo stamp inside the piston? They don't look like any JE I've seen. The wristpins are odd too. Just looking at the piston makes me think its simply a stock replacement that was custom ordered by someone. The lack of heat expansion ridges is also strange.
Mic each ringland from the piston top. Call JE engineering dept and ask them to match up your numbers with a neon part number. Have them Fax you the spec sheet.
812-042-cs is a JE Spiro lock for .782-.828 wristpins.
Call them. (714) 898-9763

yes they are je's...they have it stamped in the piston.... to me they look like stock compression...which i dont mind all that much because ill just run a higher compression turbo....but i dont know what to do about the wrist pins because the ones i got are not going to fit in the pistons.... could i use stock wrist pins with a set of eagle rods? thanks doug

You know... I'm trying to help you... but JE does employ a whole bunch of people that know a hell of a lot more than everyone on this board combined do about their pistons. They have a phone number that lets you talk to these smart people whenever you want.

yeah, i just thought if someone had the exact ones, or could tell by the pictures, it would be a lot easier....but it looks as if im going to have to talk to them...thanks doug
