Finally got the pictures that I took last weekend. here ya'll go.
Overall shot of factory setup and turbo. I still would like to know what kind model of Garrett turbo this is.

Picture showing compressor and turbine housing stamped with "Garrett" and the A/R of the turbine at 1.15

Picture of other side of housings.. shows A/R of 1.00 on Compressor housing.

And final shot of turbo with my hand resting on the compressor housing. dang that thing is big.

questions.. opinions?

hehe... it's the stock setup in my new work rig. a 03' Ford E-450 with a 7.3L powerstroke turbo diesel.
and yes.. it sounds really sweet :D
BTW... all of those pictures were taken from sitting between the two front seats ;) so the turbo chills almost in the cab with me.. but with the doghouse (cover) on of course.

a few weeks ago I was watching the tv show Trucks! they installed a second stage computer from Banks on a ford like yours
this one here, the six-gun , they only put the eclectonic and not the hardware upgrade http://www.bankspower.com/newproducts-3-04.cfm
the power gain was spectacular installation take less than 2 hour, the unit goes between the computer and the harness and you have a 6 positions dial switch inside the truck to go from 1 power preset to another some are programmed for more low band pulling power and some are programmed for more high band power
Diesel are cool :)

That turbo is big as hell. The one I have sitting at home, which Dino remarked on when he saw it is also big as hell. Something like a 1.22/.86. And I had thought it was a small turbo because I was used to big fucking Novi 2000 superchargers on 'Stangs.

indeed.. diesels are cool.. what else can you run 24psi on 19.5:1 compression pistons.. haha..
in anycase.. the PSD in the E-series vans is a bit tuned down from the superduty pickups I think.. being they don't come with intercoolers like the trucks do. so i'm not sure I can reall up the boost much or not. I'll have to talk to banks. In anycase, as fun as it would be to plop a $300 chip in and get 110HP and 200FT/LBS of TQ.. I won't. it's already got all the pulling power I need for my work (had 6000lbs. in the back yesterday and she accelerated almost as good as empty :thumbsup) all I care about is fuel mileage though.. so I'm gonna see what I can do to it to up the fuel mileage a few points.
