67021, Bigger boost on it's way:
Posted by techboy, Mar-14-04 09:10 AM
Well, yesterday I finally got the engine pulled out of the beast. Honestly, I think I'd have to say, pulling the engine was easier than putting on the suspension. I highly recommend a load leveler for this process, it made it sooo much easier. And for those who were debating with each other whether or not I should pull it with or without the tranny .... I pulled it with the tranny. No problem.:thumbsup

Huge thanks go out to Metal Jim who dragged his butt down for the day to help out. Thanks man.

Now for some head work and getting the Retrofit installed in the tranny, and we're off to some serious boost .....:evilgrin

Hoping to be on the road again around Easter.

Yeah, I definately would like to have it on the road for the first LHV meet, but I don't know, I'm not going to rush at all. My initial goal was to run 15lbs daily, but all my research on the board here is leading me to believe I will only be able to support about 13lbs with my current fuel setup. Oh well, it'll still be a big difference over the 8-9 I was running before, and of course ..... upgrading fuel systems to support more is not that hard - just takes money!

Yes, I'm still running the cartech, unlike other people on the board, I've actually had great sucess with it. Despite that, I do intend to upgrade to the Vortech in the near future.

And Yes, it's my injectors. I have 310cc injectors, and from what I understand they'll only really support about 13lbs.
