So I'm trying to decide on what turbo to get to replace my dead Big 16G...

And I noticed that HRC has a S20G w. manifold for only $899... anyone have the S20G running on a HRC manifold? How do you like it?
Anyone have specs on the HRC S20G?

I have a custom manifold that I made, but for all the work of changing the turbo flange I might as well buy a HRC manifold...

What ya'll think?

I think the S20G rocks for an internally gated turbo... if that's what you want/need.

I think the HRC manifolds use too thin of a flange on the head side. So does RRE. I will be buying my next manifold from Alain when my HRC mani finally dies from warping.

I currently run the standard S20G. I should have gotten the S20G-H for even better top end pull for drag racing, but the standard one was on sale when I bought it last year. The S20G-H reaches full boost at ~4800 rpm's. The standard reaches full boost a little sooner. Here's a link to the specs: http://www.hahnracecraft.com/hahn/parts/2ndgensuperturbos.htm

Nice turbo haven't had the need for more.... the standard 20g is definately streetable. I'd agree with the comments about their manifolds, I've had a handful of problems with mine warping and cracking... I had them ceramic coat it also, which was a waste of money since it has been repaired a handful of times...

I'll see if I can dig up some pics of my manifold... It's not the prettyest thing in the world (prototype) but it sures does the job...
Has a 1/2 inch steel flange on the head side, so it's think enough... and it utilizes a normal Mitsu exhaust flange and housing... but because of space I rotated the housing... flange is at about 45 degrees from vertical... had to rotate the turbo CHRA and comp housing also... all independtly...lol, to get it to line up right.

Had been running this manifold for almost a year now... untill the Big 16G died...

So I may go with a 20G... Hmmm, my Big 16G would hit full boost at about 3500 ish rpm...

FP Green or Red ... FP3052 or FP 3065 ... all use standard mitsu flange ... and flow a shit load more than a 20g. Plus people make gobs and gobs of power on those.

Hey MrSlick- if you happen to call HRC this week, post on here the status of the S20G... if they have them on the shelf ready to be shipped. I've been slammed here at work and can't find time to call them (somehow I have time to post on here though, lol).

I ordered mine two weeks ago and got it one week later. I had trouble finding the 20g-h, they ran out and were waiting for parts arriving from Japan.
