66230, Buying Highflow Cat questions

even with Greddy of back order of the Evo GST 3" exhaust.
I managed to found a brand new one for sale for $410 (no shipping)
SO GOOD. I love it.
so now I need to get a new cat (high flow one)

Now my setup for my exhaust system after I put engine and stuff back is this:
-exhaust manifold (insulated)
-turbo exhaust side (will make heat shield)
-custom O2 housing 2.5" or call part of down pipe (insulated)
-custom down pipe 2.5" with flex section (first half insulated)

-need a 3" highflow cat

-got a Greddy GST 3" Evo cat back exhaust system

Now, for the highflow cat, tell me guys.. what are the different from the following two sites? or other $250 ones...
This one which is about $50: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2462728197&category=33629
This one is $99: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/exhaustparts.htm
And others on other site is $200-$300

Which they are said to be 3" high flow cat... what gives?
Are they all the same? or they bullshitted? even the RRE is fake?

Also I DON"T WANT test pipe for sure, but if I put a high flow cat on, will I get a CEL? or exhaust smells more? louder?

I want my exhaust system to be quiet, deep, no smell, and pass emission.

Give me all the thoughts you guys have!
Thanks!
Gil

That's what a stock cat is for.

if you get a high flow one, it must be a resonator not a CAT. i've seen the ones they sell in like ebay that say it's a high flow cat. it's actually just a resonator to lower the sound of your exhaust. if you look inside a CAT, there's a screen when you look inside of it. it's not suppose to be a stright through design.so make sure it has that inside the high flow cat you're looking at.

SO there is no highflow cat exist that is a see through cat?

I always heard that expensive highflow cat is SEE THROUGH cat.. I am talking about a real Cat not resonator. Look at the ones from RRE, or the one from ebay (the real cat one) ^^^ links.

So even the "HIGH FLOW" is not really true?
I need more info on this.

Umm...

Resonated testpipes and High-flow cat's are not the same thing.

A cheap cat is sorta like a cheap muffler, enough said. Plus they may be "universal" and not fit w/o modification.

Look in the groupbuy section and get one of those ready to bolt on high flow cats.

the highflow cat that i have is a real cat with the o2 sensor but its a weld on cat not a bolt on. I can get them with or without the o2 sensor and the one without is polished so let me know if anyone is interested in these

The O2 bung in our cars is in the cat back, not the cat itself.

A see through cat is not a cat, it's a resonator.
