Now how many ponies will i be pushing if i just add a stage 1 HRC kit? Of course i'll have my GReddy EVO exhaust, either Iceman/AEM/or custom intake. I was thinking maybe starting off with 8psi, and if anyone can tell me how much each PSI would gain. hehe yeah i'm pretty much ignorant when it comes to TURBO. TIA

not to be an ass, but your entire question is fuckered.
the hrc stage one kit i believe will take you to about 175hp. you can't run more than 5psi of boost though. youll go boom without an intercooler. you can't use an iceman or aem intake. you could make an intake extensions for your turbo, but thts about it.

first of all throw out ur cai, because you cant use it on the turbo. hahn quotes 200-225hp at stage 1. but thats perfectly dynotuned. realistically, youd probobly make around 160-180 to the wheels tuned well. how much hp per psi is not possible to determine due to engine mods internally, compression ratio, a/f ratio. plus, you better not run more than 7-8psi non-intercooled(stage1) or youll pop ur motor.

Your lucky these guys ^^^ didn't rip you to shreds with a question like that. There is more info on turbo charging on this board than most other boards out there. I suggest you do some research and I promise you'll find more turbo info than you could possibly read. Try checking out Hahn racecrafts web site as well: www.turbosystem.com/auto/eclipse/eclipse.htm Sell your intake :)

Actually I'd save your intake to use for custom IC piping when the time comes....or sell it for an IC in the first palce...

not to be an ass but judging from that comment, you dont need to be spending your money on a turbo because it will end up biting you in the ass imo.

At least 140 to the crank, if I had to guess. Don't be a benchracer, it's like that guy who wears the shirt of the band to the concert. Just don't be that guy.

on topic: before you undergo the undertaking of modifying the car you need to understand what your doing.....do some research and find out what your getting yourself into before you go throw 2000 at your engine just to blow it up!

Nah, I disagree... anytime is a good time to increase your knowledge ... I didnt know jack when I hopped into the world of forced induction, sure learned a lot :-) But yeah, I am sure it will bite him in the ass, guess I agree with that... but that's the fun of learning ;-)
I would just advise getting a spare block and prepping it on the side.
Edit: and read a book or two if you like, or rather, read the back log of this forum and use the search function for the next few months prior to getting serious.
