I was told to tee off of the stock oil pressure sender for an oil feed line for the turbo. Right now I already have a tee in there, with the stock sender in one hole, and an Autometer sender in the other hole. Do I have to get another tee so I'll have 3 ports, or can I just unhook the stock sender and run the feed line from there? Will it mess anything up as far as performance goes? Also, what kind of line should I run? A hardline, rubber hose rated for pressure and heat, or stainless braided, or does it even matter?

You can unhook the stock sender, it doesn't do anything except through a code when it's already too late.

You need a braided ss line, you don't want a rubber hose touching your turbo do you?

Yeah I ran into that when I blew my engine. It came on about 30 seconds after I spun a bearing.

Well, I meant a rubber hose or metal hard line from the back of the block around to where I could mount a regular oil feed line to it. Is there anywhere I can get a SS feed line already made, or will I have to make my own?

pshh, you can unhook your oil sending unit if u want to, and i gurantee you wont be boosting long. it serves as purpose, and not just your oil pressure guage.

unhook it, and start your car, and see what ur valve train sounds like.

i cant believe someone on here actually reccommended that :nono

We're talking about the oil PRESSURE sending unit, back of the block, drivers side. I ran my car for 3 days with the sender not even wired in because the plug broke off. It made no difference, the car still gets oil pressure. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't run into a long term problem.

you can do what i did. use a 30" 1/4inch brake line and bend it. i have done 2 now, all you have to have is the line (mabye a couple), a cheap bender and some patience. can get pics if ya want.

Pics would be awesome. I was thinking about using a hard line anyways. I have all kinds of room in my engine bay since my battery and washer fluid reservoir are in the back.
