65392, Noob question on fuel tuning... Posted by EclipseRST, Feb-17-04 04:56 PM
Hey guys, I searched and didn't come up with anything (I don't think I know how to use the advanced search correctly :wary).
Anyway, I'll be upgrading from my HRC stage 1 setup to an HRC stage 2 with SMIC. Right now I have my fuel set how I want it at 47psi at idle and 90psi under fuel boost. I'd prefer staying a little rich like this but will I need to retune once I install the SMIC? I didn't know if the denser air would call for more fuel or what. Remember I'll still only be boosting 5-6psi.
EDIT: Oh yeah I should also add that I'm using the S-FMU with the small dark spring and disk that came with the unit.

I wouldn't worry about retuning with the IC. Tuning with a high gain FPR is crude enough that it won't matter too much. Anywhere from 80-90 psi at 6 psi boost, would be fine.

Thanks for the reply Corbin, unlike the REST of you...:nono ;-)
BTW Corbin your writeup for the compression test was really helpful, thanks. :thumbsup
