Was wondering what’s safe to boost at on stock internals...

I searched didn’t find much to give me any sort of answer. Some say 5 some say 9 is o.k. no real answer…

So I went over to the Hahn site, looked at the stage 2 system, says you can boost from 8-10 on STOCK internals....

Some people said there’s no way you can do that without fucking up your motor, some said u can daily drive on 8 psi

I no Hahn has tested there stuff for a while...do you think 8-10 psi will hold up on stock internals? Or is Hahn trippen??

5lbs of boost is ok to run if you don't have an intercooler

8 to 10lbs of boost is ok to run if you have an front mount intercooler.

i ran my stage 2 with fmic at 10lbs of boost for about 8 months till my motor popped. other people have been able to run 12lbs of boost for years without problems. it all comes down to the tuning.

You need bigger injectors before you think of boosting over 4-5psi imo. I don't care what anyone says :) 30lb'ers work great.

that sentence should be...

"I recommend running larger injectors over 5lbs of boost, however you CAN run 10lbs of boost on stock injectors."

3.5 - 4 years doing 10psi. I was lucky.

I ran 5psi non-intercooled for the first 13,000 miles of my turbo.

Then I upgraded to 310cc injectors and got an intercooler and ran 7psi for about 2,000 miles.

Then I changed to 5psi, intercooled with 310cc injectors until now. I try to baby my car....

I have 22,000 Turbo miles, all perfectly tuned, hence why it still holding up. I am paranoid....so my general idea is....

5psi = safe
8psi = safe...but pushing it a tad
10psi = you're asking for it
10+ = You have money to rebuild

Some people have withstood 10psi for months and months....others have blown at 5psi...just gotta tune properly and don't drive it into the ground.
