I want to see some pics of how your mounted or customized your wastegate acculator. When I get this part done it's time to put that bish on.

Howdy,
I clocked my turbo to realign the denter section... but then I did have to have the comp. housing out of position relative to the exhaust housing in the end...
I don't have a pic but what I did was machine a couple of plates that hang off the side if the normal wastegate mounting holes and hang the actuator off the plates. Then the actuator is kept in the corect position relative to the wastegate.

You may not ba aware but if your clocking a mitsu. turbo you can remove the pin that keeps the center housing in position, that way you can rotate the center housing but keep the exhaust and comp. housings in the same place relative to each other....

I'm using the HRC S16g. The reason I'm doing this is to aim the compressor housing down.

hey D, gimme about 1-2 weeks and i will have mine done. exact same thing you want to do. So far i have figured out that it will work to turn the compressor down. it actually wont be pointed exactly down. its aimed more towards the bottom of the FMIC. i am planning on cutting a round disc to bolt to the comp. housing to relocate the wastegate. there will be enough room (barely) to run the pipe by the starter and not interfear with the wastegate. im hoping to be able to cut and weld on the HRC pipe to get it all lined up, without having to get new pipe to make it work. So far i think it will....
stay tuned!!!

It's a long process... you have to take your time getting it all ligned up... plus the large snap ring that holds the CRH to the comp housing can be a bitch....

Ok, I clocked my S16G and it look pretty good. Here are a few pics. If you've got ANY questions, I've got a LOT of pics from the install on my home computer (I'm @ work right now). Don't mind the mess, I have to redo ALL my vacuum lines and clean it up! This should give you an idea of what it'll look like once it's clocked. Again, I've got about 15-20 pics @ home of what I did to clock it.

Basically, what I did, was remove the wastegate actuator bolts and the snap-ring on the cartridge. We then rotated the compressor housing (can be kinda stiff...don't worry, you won't break it) to the position we wanted it in. After that was et, we reinstalled the snap-ring. Now, for the actuator, since we clocked the compressor, the mounting holes for the bolts wouldn't line up. So, we took some scrap metal, welded it onto the compressor housing, drilled and tapped new holes for the actuator mounting bolts, mounted her up, and badda bing, we were done! Please feel free to PM me, email me, or hit me up on AIM to discuss if you've got any other questions! :-D

Hell yeah! I already clocked it, I just want some ideas on how to mount the wastegate acculator. You should post the pics or a link to them here so anyone else wanting this kind of info can find it. Thanx man!
Hey Tim, I wants some pics of your progress so far and a good pic of that motor. :thumbsup
