The black box is wired to your map sensor wires. The Missing Link is a check valve placed between the map sensor and the intake mani. Essentially they both do the same thing....prevent the ECU from seeing positive manifold pressure.

Is either one better? Does one have an anvantage over the other? It just seems like everybody here uses the missing link, and all the neon guys use the black box. Or maybe it's just me.

Some people have talked of issues with the black box lowering voltage on their map readings. I run the Missing Link with no probs. :thumbsup

I have the missing link and it is a big POS. However they are supposed to be replacing it for me. Yes I did clean it.

Missing Link with no problems and it bolts right up rather then splicing into your MAP sensor signal wires with the black mystery box from Hahn.

Missing Link > Black box
I've been using my ML for a year now and I has never once not worked properly. :7
