I have several question about the vortech S-fmu. Which disk and ring is the 2.72, none of them are labeled? Where should the vacuum, boost, and bleed screws be at? What should my idle fuel pressure be w/ 415cc inj? I have the Cartech in there now, and will be putting the Vortech in this week.

the 2.72 is the second largest disc and the largest ring. the 3" disc has no ring. leave the boost completely closed. leave the bleed alone. the vacuum port needs to be adjusted by what it says in the instructions. if i remember correctly (read instructions to ensure im correct), the vacuum port is adjusted after you have a base pressure established. your fuel pressure should be around 20psi of fell at idle.

the s-fmu, i took the bolts out, but it won't come apart

give it a few minutes, it should pop off. Hey siu, you actually adjusted the vacuum screw? what for? I never adjust mine. Maybe that's why I run pig rich and cause misfires when I step on it in first gear at 12?

DO I want the short spring or the long spring?

there are 2 springs that come with the S-FMU.

the long silver spring and the short stiffer gray/black one.

either one will work, but i find that the shorter stiffer one works the best - it enables you to adjust the idle pressure a little lower and gives you a slightly higher rising rate.

Also it didn't some with any instructions, I bought it used.

The SFMU is a great way to go, I believe the discs are labeled. It should also come with some instructions or a diagram of what things are what.

Unfortunately they weren't labeled, but I figured that out. I bought it used, it didn't come with any instructions

Dude get a ruler. The size of the disk are are measured in diameters. 2.72 disk is 2.72 inches across.
