Ok, I decided to install these studs last night. So car so good, it looks like they will fit. The end of the stud is almost touching the manifold, and probably will be once I torque the nuts down. Right now they are snuged up. Here is the issue... I can't fit any tools onto those nuts! I have 12 point wrenches and sockets, but those won't work. I cut a wrench so I can slip it over the stud onto the nut, but now that it's not closed it slips off the nut because it flexes. I went to the local sears hardware and they don't have anything that will work. Do you guys have any ideas? I gotta get to work on monday! :o

They are 12pt fasteners; are you using a standard size wrench or metric? I'd bet they're standards.

I don't know if they are standard or metric, but a 10 mm 12 pt wrench fits the nut perfectly. I problem is with the closed wrench I cannot fit it onto the nut because the stud is hitting the manifold. I figured it out today. I used a rotozip to cut a 12 pt side of a 10mm wrench and used that. The first one did not work because it was too thin, it would flex when I toruqed it. I found one with thicker walls and cut it. It seemed to work. It was a bitch to torque them with the wrench because the edged would hit the mani and I couldn't turn them anymore. After major mofication the the wrench it worked out. I drove abotu 100 miles today and so far so good. For $85 I would say, don't buy them, get something cheap. :P

A line wrench would have been perfect, but I'm not sure if they come in any 12pt. variations.
