Well there's this wanna be neon tuner here in my muscle car dominated hick town. Anyways this guy is turboing his 1st generation 4 door SOHC neon, and he's a nice guy, but i don't think he's done his homework on this one. He hired some chinese guy, who really doesn't know what he thinks he does about cars, to help him with the task. Ok enough of the rambling, here's the specs...he's planning on running 14psi of boot on stock internals, not to mention the 100 shot of nitrous. Custom manifold, custom down pipe with no flex section or anything of that sort. Turbo off of an old chrysler 2.2 turbo vehicle i believe. The air to air intercooler sits flat on top of the engine:nono. i believe he has extra injectors, but nothing to controll them, and other than the injectors a completely stock fuel system..yes pump, regulator, filter, ect. No missing link:rolleyes. Oh yea almost forgot, the intercooler looks like a stock 1st generation sidemount eclipse intercooler. Lol, i got the best laugh out of that today. well i think there's more, but i can't think of it right now. Anyways how many problems do you guys see? He wouldn't listen to reason, so i'll try to help him out after it blows.

Yeah when I was out there he claimed to have had it running, but they had to re-do the down pipe because it was in the way of the axle. I forgot to tell him about the neons.org site but i will next time i see him. I know it'll blow right away, but i want to be there to see the look on his face, lol. Oh yeah and one other thing, i don't think he has any guages, egt, boost, ect.

he's gunna learn the meaning of the worlds 'fuel-cut' REAL quick.

Yea he's gonna have a lot of learning to do too. I'll try to help him as much as i can, but that still makes me laugh.

neons dont/cant use missing links they usually only use the black box method.

Oh, well i guess you learn something new everyday, but I don't think he even had the black box.:shrug
