Hello! You had expressed an interest in the thread where we spoke of our Eclipse RS running 10.87 @ 136 MPH. I would like to give you a phone call this week to discuss your needs relative to our new equipment. Would you be so kind as to provide a phone number and a good time to call? Boost It! Bill

Since it was never discussed, i came up with what i thought could be an adequate solution, and perhaps what HRC was building, in my head. I've discussed it with a few people, and i am very curious to see if i was close or not. When somone talks to Bill, please let me know the details, or let him know that i'd like to talk to him about it.

What is up with HRC? I mean, do they not want to post because they don't think they will keep up with initial demand? Are they looking for people to test the new fuel system before releasing it to everyone? They have to know there are tons of people on this board just waiting for the fuel system to come out. Why only talk to a few people first when they can reach so many more by just making an informative post?
63112, RE: WOOO HOOO! looks like the HRC Fuel System is done.
Posted by DarKReaLity, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
i think this whole thing is too much hype and BS, whatever stuff. all this fuel system hype is a bunch of crap. i bet is something as simple as what everyone has been doing. the 10sec passes was done out of time, practice and lots of nitrous. look at many cars that are doing 10sec passes and check out their fuels systems, they're gonna be similar to what HRC is doing. Mr. Hahn is just a good tuner and if you look at his mods, it's almost as equal to a stage 3 system. he's got lots of experience on the track and lots of techniques which got him there. especially with 150shot. i'll just stick to learning on my own. eventually, one of us, can be at that level and do 10's without nitrous. don't get me wrong, you have to have adequte fuel to run that much power, but still i consider it as too much hype. if he has a way to make bigger injectors work with our stock computers, and i'm tallking about 600cc plus injectors and not having a timing issue, then i'll be impressed. other than that, i think it's pretty much what others here have. we'll see.

I agree this is rediculous. I for one am just going to keep on trying to perfect it the old fasion way with the same components as half the people on this board. Until I see some pics and prices.

Well, I was on the phone with HRC for a while becuase of my Cartach FPR being crappy and rising too much. They say the Cartach that comes with the Stage 1/2 kits is CALIBRATED for stock injectors, NOT LARGER. Even though they "say" it can go down to 5:1, 8:1, etc. rate, it CANNOT. My problem is that my fuel pressure us set to 20-22psi @ idle, but when I hit 0in/Hg, the pressure is up to 47-50psi. NOT GOOD. They suggested going BACK to stock injectors for 10psi and I'll be fine. So, upgrading to a S-FMU and using larger injectors witha different disk is the ONLY way to use larger injectors and a rising rate FPR (unless you go stand alone, EIC, Muga Squirt, etc).

Now, for the "fun", interesting news. I got them to tell me what the new Stage 3/4 fuel system is, you're NOT gonna be happy. For those of you that have upgraded to the Vortech S-FMU and larger injectors, KEEP IT. HRC's "new and improved" fuel system is this: either 30 or 36lb injectors and a "recalibrated" FPR. THAT'S IT! This is what we've been waiting for? WTF?!?! I'm NOT impressed. This further pushes me to the 034EIC route.

So, to get my car running better and not blowing black smoke, I'm considering going BACK to my stock injectors, lowering my boost to 8-10psi (for the time being), building up my 8-injector setup, and then tuning for 12-15psi. Ugh, what a headache! But yeah, for those of you anxious for the HRC setup, consider yourself informed/warned. I hope I haven't let a cat out of the bag, but I just thought yall would want to know what to expect. Enjoy!

This is not true, that only applys to the stage 2 kit. Their are 2 other electronic systems he will be offering. One of the 2 is thier own design. I don't know the details, but Bill will release everything when he is comfortable doing so.

I missed his calls yesterday also. I have lost intrest at this point. I believe the EIC is doing a perfect job, I wouldn't trade it for a rising rate fpr in a million years.

PiKapp504: DO NOT run more than 8 psi on stock injectors. Your not going to spray any more fuel after 100 psi of fuel pressure. 100 psi of liquid? That's a lot of pressure for a fluid, you can only squeeze so much fuel through those injectors. I believe you can lower the rate of the cartech, but you need to put a smaller disk in it. I would just pickup a SFMU and keep your larger injectors in the car. I wouldn't believe the differance the sfmu makes over the cartech.
63199, RE: WOOO HOOO! looks like the HRC Fuel System is done.
Posted by PiKapp504, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
the only reason I'm sticking with the Cartech is because I can't justify spending $250 for an S-FMU when I'm building up an 8-injector setup. Maybe I'll lower it to 7-8psi for the time being then, with stock injectors, build the 8-injector setup, and then tune for 13-15psi. What do you think?

If I were you, I would wait for the new stuff from HRC. I spoke with Bill Jr. and he has some very cool stuff on the horizon. I'm sure he will post all the specifics when everything is ready. I'll just say he has addressed everyones conecrns, and has developed some very cool things. Both electrical and mechanical products that will be released as he is sure they are easy to install and tweaked for street use. This isn't just a fuel system, he has a lot of new stuff coming out and stability updates to the early stage kits.

Keep your pants on! It's on the way.

Since everybody has different ideas about what parts are coming out, let me give my thoughts. In the July 2003 issue of Import Tuner, the company Rev Hard had a Civic turbo kit featured. One of the great things about the kit is you would not need a bigger fuel pump or FMU to get additional fuel. The kit came with bigger injectors and a MAGIC black box. The black box allows the the injectors to idle like the were from the factory, and provide additional fuel by MAP sensor modification. The box gets a vacuum source hooked to it,and get tapped into the ECU for a map sensor, tach signal, power, and ground. This also sounds like how That Cybernations black box worked for the hondas and Acuras that was posted a while back. What does everybody think.

It's something to the effect of an electronic injector controller. I just don't know any specifics.

If you want plug and play parts wait for hahn. If you understand what your doing and can do things yourself go for it.
63268, RE: Hey Dino

Bill wants to do this ona customer by customer basis. if you're interested in the fuel system or in discussing potential fuel solutions for your Hp goals, just call him - he loves to talk with his customers. he's a cool guy.

so is hahn NOT going to have a big launch with this fuel system and it will not have the "availability" of the stage 1 and 2 kits? meaning, in the future, i can't just go to the site and order it.

anyone know how much will this cost? i think that's what many of us are wondering.

You are putting things out there that I did not say. All i said was that right now, he'd like to do this on a customer by customer basis. He has his own reasons for this. I cannot speak for Bill and won't. Just call and talk to him - he loves to hear from us.

I talked to Bill earlier tonight. As ive said before, hes a terreffic guy, and his customer service is reason enough to buy his kits for those looking at getting boosted.

Like Dino said, hes interested in doing this on a customer-by-customer basis. He actually went to my website before calling me to see exactly where i was at currently. He also has very good reasons for not releasing everything out there before the right time.

But seriously, if your interested in the new fuel setup or anything hahn or turbo related, give the man a call. He seems to truely enjoy hearing back from us.

If you cant fine tune boosted fuel maps like the 034, then I dont want it! :o I really don't understand the secrecy of all this..Waiting for a patent or something? I'm pretty much set on doing the 034 8 injector setup, unless this new system is laptop programable, for boosted fuel maps...I would call, or have them call me, but i'm just too damn swamped at work to even talk..

i think that's a problem associated with the TPS sensor... most of pictures are long gone, but i still have the hardware and the schematic in my box of expermental 2GNT goodies along with some DIY-WB stuff and some DVM stuff.
http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=50708&mesg_id=50708&listing_type=search

i still have this thing in my car, but i haven't finished development yet. i'm lazy and haven't found time to solving the problem with the circuit tripping the voltage to 5 volts instead of 3.8 which is what the PCM expects as "100% throttle". i think that i need to add another ground connection somewhere in the resistor bank.
