6209, Automatic and Stage 2 turbo..... Posted by GSsport, Jun-11-01 03:19 PM
Okay, I am thinking about getting a second job and saving all that money for my "turbo fund". I figure 4,000 should do the trick. I want a stage 2 with FMIC. Two questions...will the piping for the intercooler need to be altered for the auto tranny and will the stock auto tranny be okay with a turbo kit installed. I want to Level 10 the tranny in the future after the turbo. What do you all think about that? Thanks guys...I want boost!! If I can't get it...I think I will have to get a WRX

Shouldn't have any trouble installing the kit with your auto tranny. The stock auto tranny should be fine with the turbo on so don't worry too much. Don't run it too hard back to back and you'll be fine.

I'm auto and want to boost as well... will it hurt? Well, I've heard yes and no... how common is it for the AT to be damaged?
