62007, How to tell what turbo I have Posted by MmmDeion, Dec-11-03 06:08 AM
Ive always been curious what turbo I have... I bought my kit off Wyatt a couple of months ago, and Ive heard that he gives out different turbos to different people (for whatever reason and whatnot)... Im almost positive that its a .48 trim so wouldnt that make it a T3/T04 B-Trim? The E-Trim comes only .50 and higher right, and with ball bearing option? Is there a way to check because I dont see anything on the compression housing itself... TIA... :thumbsup

there are several ways you can tell either B or E..the first and easiest way is to look at the compressor wheel, the Btrim has 7 blades and Etrim will have 6 blades...the other way to tell is look for the turbonetics part number which is stamped somewhere on the compressor..for instance my 50trim says "30490 e-50" on the back side of the compressor near the outlet...

Hmm... I dont see a part number on any part of the turbo, I just all over the both housings... But it has 6 pairs of blades on the compressor side, I guess making it an E-Trim... Now that means it also has BB too, or is just that an option with the E-Trim?? :thumbsup

unless you paid for BB, then you didn't get it...BB is about $900 extra...you'd know if it were BB, turbo would hit full boost at like 3300rpms...but you do have an Etrim, more than likely is 50trim...
