61623, People with the Emanage...I need HELP!! Posted by TXTurboGS, Dec-01-03 11:24 AM
My question is this: What are your AR readings? Anyone using 440cc injectors with the emanage? I've read about James's car but he is running bigger injectors. I will boost at 15 psi daily and 20psi at the track. Thanks for any help:cheers

where have you read about my car? (if you are talking about mine)
im not running the emanage yet.. but id like to eventually.
you cant run 20psi of boost on 440cc.. ive found that 19lbs is pushing it. also.. remember your timing starts massively advancing around 20lbs of boost.. too much advance = expensive fireworks show

I believe it was a white car with wilwood big brakes with James as a signature. He wrote some stuff about the emanage.
PS: You have message from me Siueclipse,:cheers

440s will work past 20psi but not on pump gas without timing retard. With race gas you should be able to make it past 20psi. Also, Jamesman, and Kiku would be who I would ask about the emanage. Also there is a yahoo group specifically created to answer questions about the E-manage. I would join it if you haven't done so already. There are many people there that would be of much more help.
EDIT: Name of the yahoo group is "emanage"

yeah, i think Chris has the E-Manange setup along with 550 cc/min injectors... i read a thread a while back saying how he runs ~20 psi on the street. very cool. i also read that the 550's are about as large as you can run with the E-Manange because of the E-Manange's basic operation - it's like a glorified AFC if i remember correctly.
<EDIT> argh! i was 1 minute too late! </EDIT>
james, i don't think that timing advances at all past 20 psi of boost. as far as i know the ECU has no idea if it's at 0.01 psi or 1000 psi of boost. for me i get about 15-17 degrees of advance at redline no matter how much boost i'm running. however, around 20-22 psi of boost it would be a good idea to get a timing retard controller if one is intersted in running that much boost on 93-94 octane unleaded street fuel. then again, if you're retarding timing on street fuel you're at the point when you shouldn't be running that much boost on street fuel. it's just too much work to deal with a timing retard unit IMO. just throw in some race gas and have fun with the stock timing map.

It's Jamesman you're looking for.
He's got the full Emanage/e01 setup, had it tuned for 18psi for a while, and he's running 440's.

got a Question do you have to have the car dynoed after you install the E-manage or its just Plug and Play?

It's plug-and-tunefor8months.
Dyno time would help get it tuned faster for sure.

My car is on its way to the dyno in Tucson as I write this. It's a new engine so they (mechanics) are going to break it in on the dyno and on the street (500 miles total) then proceed to tune the bastard. I'll post some numbers on how much power it made and such. :thumbsup :cheers

got a question when you install the E-manage do you need to dyno and tune the car w/ the e-manage hooked up or its pretty much plug and play

I did not install it myself. I lack the technical skills to do so. The car was running but the idle was crap, probably because of the crane 16 cams and the high fuel preassure at idle (close to 45psi). They managed to make it idle fine, but it is still running way to rich. Later all:cheers
