6156, $260...EGT or Exhaust??? Posted by 99GSBBTurbo, Jun-11-01 07:41 AM
Ok... I have about $260 to spend on my car:P I was going to get an Exhaust, but now have second thoughts about getting an EGT gauge instead.
I could get a cat back with a Tanabe muffler for about that much, but Wyatt told me if I had an EGT gauge, that I would have saw that my engine was getting hotter, and stopped my car before I burnt my valves!!!!
But I was also told that if I had an exhaust, it probably would not have happened!! What do you think I should do???

EGT. Just bought one myself. Get the $105 autometer EGT and you still have enough for at least a muffler.
